18 May (SSC16 -12) Shock, CMEN23
18 May The main radio characteristics of this event are the presence of a short duration microwave component (see the arrows in the upper figure) and the onset of a type II burst observed in the decameter frequency range. This event is associated with a CME (CMEN23 11:50 UT PA 154 (deg) Width 46 (deg) V 614 765 1139 Km/s). One distinguishes a narrow structure emerging on the CME side; this structure becomes elongated and propagates along a direction distinct from the CME one.
This event is associated with a shock event detected at L1.
