April 11 2002 (SSC 08, -23) Shock, CMEN12
April 11 This event is associated with a CME (CMEN12: 16:50 UT PA 257 (deg) Width 70 (deg), V 540, 497, 503 Km/s) and shares the following characteristics: a microwave burst of short duration followed by a type II burst detected in the metric-decametric frequency range. Note that the onset of this type II burst appears in coincidence, in the SOHO images, with a bright and elongated structure, located at the border of the CME, and which propagates along a direction distinct from the CME one.
This event is associated with a shock event detected at L1.
