The main animation actions led by AIPS will be the organisation of workshops focused on a clearly defined topic (Numerical codes in stellar physics, laboratory astrophysics, exploitation of Gaia, etc…). They will be built around the Observatory’s teams, while remaining open to external guests. They should rely as much as possible on the Jules Janssen Conference Centre. These workshops (2 to 3 per year) should be complemented by more regular actions that will allow the actors to meet and interact as often as possible.
The first few workshops will be initiated by the AIPS office, but, ultimately, the office wishes the community to cease such opportunities to organise workshops around a stellar physics topic. In 2022, we foresee two such workshops:
- Numerical Codes in Stellar Physics
- Laboratory Astrophysics
