Projects

Members of the Fédération Nanosats are involved in ambitious scientific projects. The variety of satellites, themes and scientific objectives addressed bear witness to the extraordinary capabilities of nanosatellites as a new vector for space exploration, and to the interest that communities have in them. From the study of the Earth’s atmosphere to the calibration of the cosmological background, nanosatellites have their place in all the disciplines of the sciences of the Earth and the Universe. The characteristics of nanosatellites also represent opportunities to develop and test innovative technologies that could potentially be used on larger satellites, which is a serious advantage.

BIRDY

BIRDY is an interplanetary satellite concept designed to explore the internal structure of small bodies in the solar system (comets, asteroids, etc.) using inter-satellite links.

IGOSat

IGOSat aims to study the gamma-ray environment and the content of high-energy electrons at the level of the SAA anomaly and the polar cones.

#Ionosphere

Meteorix

Meteorix is a nanosatellite dedicated to detecting and characterising meteors and space debris, in particular by measuring their entry fluxes into the Earth’s atmosphere.
