Work together

With the advent of NewSpace, a variety of new players in the space sector are emerging, all of whom are faced with the same advantages and disadvantages of this development, namely greater risk-taking, a marked capacity for innovation and the need for agility. So there seems to be a clear advantage to developing partnerships at every link in the chain, from satellite design to the ground segment, via payloads and launchers. Firstly, because sharing the risk reduces the impact that this can have on each of the partners, but above all, because the complementary nature of the expertise encourages the development of solutions, and therefore boosts certain projects, or even unblocks others that may be stuck in a technological or financial impasse.

Positioned as the federating body for the development of scientific nanosatellites for the Earth and Universe sciences in the Paris Region, the Fédération Nanosats works with a wide range of players from the academic, economic and industrial worlds. In addition to their scientific projects, the members of the Fédération Nanosats benefit from a wide range of expertise that can help bring new ideas to fruition. Through its network and experience, the Federation is a privileged point of contact to facilitate the identification of possible partners or solutions and to bring together players from universities, the private sector and national agencies, at all stages of the projects.

Joint opportunities

Eutelsat is a telecommunications company and one of France’s leading satellite operators. Several projects are being developed in partnership with the Nanosats Federation, including the ground station interconnection project.

Autonomous navigation software

This German SF2I software company is developing an autonomous navigation and astrometry algorithm based on preliminary work by CENSUS.

Folding tests on solar sails

Gama is a start-up that designs solar sails for nanosatellites. During the development of the first folding tests for its prototypes, it collaborated with CENSUS, which had suitable premises and concurrent engineering expertise.
