consistant en un interf\u00e9rom\u00e8tre incluant 2 t\u00e9lescopes de 9 cm de diam\u00e8tre sur une plateforme unique de 60 cm. Son but est de d\u00e9montrer qu\u2019un tel instrument est faisable gr\u00e2ce aux technologies d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es r\u00e9cemment et en particulier des composants photoniques.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette d\u00e9monstration technologique sera effectu\u00e9e sur des cibles astronomiques d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat scientifique, en d\u00e9tectant la diffusion de la lumi\u00e8re dans la poussi\u00e8re autour d\u2019\u00e9toiles, qu\u2019on appelle la lumi\u00e8re exo-zodiacale. Exolight serait un pionnier pour un futur interf\u00e9rom\u00e8tre annulant de plus grande ampleur, capable un jour de d\u00e9tecter de la vie sur une autre plan\u00e8te.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La lumi\u00e8re exo-zodiacale a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9tect\u00e9e pour des objets tr\u00e8s poussi\u00e9reux en lumi\u00e8re infrarouge (2-10 microns). Mais quelle est la brillance des exozodi en lumi\u00e8re visible ? Cette question est importante car elle pourrait limiter la performance des futurs coronographes spatiaux (comme le projet am\u00e9ricain Occulter) essayant de trouver des exoplan\u00e8tes en lumi\u00e8re visible. La quantit\u00e9 de lumi\u00e8re exozodiacale est souvent calcul\u00e9e en nombre de Zodii, l\u2019unit\u00e9 correspondant \u00e0 la quantit\u00e9 de lumi\u00e8re zodiacale pr\u00e9sente dans notre propre syst\u00e8me solaire.
