L\u2019observatoire est un essaim compact d\u2019environ 50 nanosatellites s\u00e9par\u00e9s l\u2019un de l\u2019autre jusqu\u2019\u00e0 50 kilom\u00e8tres, dont les liens entre satellites 2 par 2 forment les bases interf\u00e9rom\u00e9triques. L\u2019essaim entier orbite autour de la Lune et observe le ciel lorsqu\u2019il est derri\u00e8re la Lune, \u00e9vitant ainsi les pollutions terriennes. NOIRE ouvrira une nouvelle fen\u00eatre sur l\u2019Univers avec une capacit\u00e9 d\u2019imager le ciel en fr\u00e9quences radio de 10 kHz \u00e0 30 MHz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9tude NOIRE a montr\u00e9 la faisabilit\u00e9 du concept \u00e0 condition que quelques seuils techniques soient atteints. Les mesures brutes sont obtenues par chaque n\u0153ud (nanosatellite) et pr\u00e9-trait\u00e9es au niveau de l\u2019essaim avant d\u2019\u00eatre envoy\u00e9es sur Terre lorsque la constellation passe du c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la Lune face \u00e0 la Terre. Scientifiquement, chaque fois qu\u2019une carte du ciel a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e dans une nouvelle bande de fr\u00e9quences, nos connaissances ont drastiquement progress\u00e9 et ont m\u00eame atteint le grand public : Planck avec le CMB, Hubble en images IR and UV, LIGO avec les ondes gravitationnelles.
